"Yeah, this is way better than
the CarPlay radio unit we installed in our truck. We put this in our car and it
is great. We love it. We love it so much that we are going to install the
factory radio unit back in the truck and sell the CarPlay radio built-in unit
and then put this in its place. It works way better and is more responsive than
the built-in we had installed.
The brightness is great for driving
on a sunny Florida day, and a dark beach night.
It does take a little getting used
to, and the last person that used it will always be the one that connects
automatically.
Switching users takes a bit of
patience, and it does work, but it is slow to connect either way.
So since we both drive the car
equally the other will close the garage with the app while the user connects.
This is the case whether you were the last to be connected or not.
We have this in our 2013 Nissan
Altima and have it installed on the dash. We did have it installed over the CD
player, but it blocked the backup camera so we opted to put it on the dash, and
we love it. It is a low enough profile that it doesn't obstruct the driver's
view, and it is easy for the passenger to navigate. You can navigate it at the
stop light, but while driving that is never a good idea no matter how easy it
is!!!
The voice commands work really well.
Just make sure you speak clearly and other noises are down or she'll pick up
everyone's words, lol.

"I got this unit a few months
ago and I didn’t install the backup camera for a few weeks.. love the unit and
once I installed the backup camera it was great, just what I wanted. Anyway to
make a long story short the backup camera stoped working when I put it in
reverse. I started to put it in camera mode and it worked. I started to check things
out and a week or so later the rear camera stopped working altogether. I
contacted support and they worked with me over several days and after trying
several things hey sent me a new backup camera and wire. After receiving the
new camera and wire I found out that when I install the wire leading from the
backup camera to the unit I somehow pinched the wire and over time it shorted
out.
Love this unit and how it works and I
can’t say enough for the support that I received.
Would not hesitate to buy from this
company again."

"So yeah, it fits. It works
well. My wife really likes it a lot. I thought it would block a lot of the front
window, but it's not that bad of an obstruction. I especially like that the
front camera slides down out of view. Best improvement for this model.
BUT the reverse camera is a bit of an
issue. I mounted the camera on a flat vertical rear door, and it wasn't meant
to be there.
I assume it's just some parts bin
camera, but the console doesn't let you flip the picture, but you can mirror
the picture? If you flip the camera, you can't tilt it down because it only has
90 degrees of tilt. Straight out or straight down. I unscrewed the teeny tiny
screws and flipped the camera around, and was able to get a single click of
down tilt to make the view right. IF you mount the camera on the inside of the
rear window, or on the flat underside above your license plate, you probably
won't have this issue."
