Review: With the 140d kit including
a larger capacity battery and solid case to keep the tracker in, this unit
makes keeping track of a vehicle for longer periods of time a very hands-off
prospect. I've had mine in place for 2 weeks and the battery has dropped about
10% which seems right on track for 140d plus! Truthfully though, I'd be happy
with less as it's not a huge deal to charge it every 3-4 months and the size of
this package is ideal! The magnets are powerful and the case is the best shape
in my opinion for the best possible magnetic hold but also keeping the size in
check well.
I've seen competitors that are long
and cylindrical which would seem to fall off easier. This unit isn't falling
off! The interior of the case is lined with foam for protection, but I do have
one criticism below regarding that but it's not a big deal! Their customer
service is very helpful and quick to respond - I was assisted by Kelvin and he
was great! Below are some very minor constructive criticisms for the company to
look into but please realize that NONE of these are a big issue!
1) Please make your subscription
plans accessible and changeable from a web access portal or your app. Your team
is fast to respond, which is a major plus, but having to email to do any of
that seems unnecessary with current technology?
2) The 140d extended time kit should
include some pre-cut and sized foam inserts that place adequate cushioning
between the tracker and battery, but with a cutout for the connection of the
custom wiring harness (good job on that!) from the battery to the USB-C of the
tracker! I cut my own out of the foam that the package was shipped in but
pre-cut would be a nice touch!
3) Offer an add-on charger that
isn't a wall wart (outlet) charger, but instead a USB-A cable that terminates
into your custom battery charging connector, for those of us that use these
during our own travel and would like to pack lite!
4) My last minor criticism is the
clip that keeps the case closed... It's plenty secure for daily use, but my
worry is over the course of 140d which is about 4.5 months, and all the bumps
that vehicles go over, I worry it could pop open and drop the contents out
which renders the awesome magnets useless.
I chose to put a few wraps of
electrical tape around it, but not over the magnets, just for peace of mind,
but a more deep detent or 'click' would likely solve the feeling people like me
have (I'm aware you guys probably tested this thoroughly, so apologies for
discounting that but this case popping open is one those issues I'd rather not
find out about if it's even possible! Now don't take any of my criticisms as
much of a negative. This unit is priced right and it works great! The
subscription plans are varied in price and the lower tier is reasonable, while
I would classify the faster updating option of every 5 sec to be a bit pricey
if you pay per month (they cut a decent deal if you pay for a year, I think,
which is normal).

Battery lasts about 2 weeks. The location was accurate. I placed it in the
rear. Magnets hold very strong! Highly recommend. Easy to use. You can check
battery life on the app too. Customer service is great! Solid red is full
battery. Using the app on the website is even more effective with more
