First, the image stabilization is XLNT, better than my bigger cameras, and the kit 18-55 lens is good in low light. The "Auto" mode and scene options are good for beginners (or advanced) or a quick shot, and it works great. I'm still learning the system, and my examples are from some of my first pics. The camera body is so small it takes time to learn the system, so you hit the correct controls and get the feel. Anyway, great camera. I'm still learning. I took it on my trip to DC and later Greece.
